Materials & Construction
The Ifor Williams horse float range is built on a hot dipped galvanised chassis with a combination aluminium and galvanised steel framing. With an aluminium body exterior you won’t have to worry about rust and will have peace of mind that you are investing in a float that will outlast most other floats on the market. All Ifor Williams floats are fitted with super tough sealed-for-life bearings, yet another feature that sets the Ifor Williams floats apart in terms of quality and longevity.
Brakes & Suspension
Ifor Williams horse floats have mechanical brakes. Mechanical brakes are a simple, safe and low maintenance system that is activated by the back pressure in the hitch from your car when you brake. This means you don’t need an electric brake controller fitted in your towing vehicle and there is no individual dial adjustment necessary to ensure smooth and easy braking. Parabolic leaf suspension provides excellent shock absorption and a comfortable ride for equine passengers.

This feature has helped thousands of horse owners give their horses confidence in loading due to the walk-through nature of this design.
